

On February 1st, the Tai Chi Youth Group performed a series of wushu and tai chi routines as well as a dragon dance alongside at the Tilles Center for the Nassau County Lunar New Year Celebration!
The Tai Chi Youth Group would like to thank the organizers of this event, such as the Nassau County of Asian Affairs and LICAA for this special opportunity and experience!
During this busy and festive Lunar New Year week, Tai Chi Youth Group has celebrated prematurely through several performances. On 1/18, we performed at The Heckscher Museum of Art. On 1/25, we performed at the Long Island Children’s Museum, Jericho High School, and at the Harvest Church of New York. On 1/26, we performed at Long Island Children’s Museum again, as well as at South Huntington Public Library. We have two more performances, one this Friday at Syosset High School and one this Saturday at Tilles Center. Happy Lunar New Year!
At the start of September, Tai Chi Youth Group members and athletes from Sitan Tai Chi and Martial Arts competed at the 14th Pan American Wushu Championships in Santa Clara, California. Many of our members won medals in their respective events. Congratulations to everyone who took part in the competition!
